Panama and Costa Rica with Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic

In the spring of 2015, I taught photography aboard the Lindblad / National Geographic Expedition to Costa Rica and Panama. We disembarked from Colon, Panama, a short distance from the Panama Canal’s Atlantic entrance. Our journey took us through the canal and into Gatun Lake, where we visited a Smithsonian Institute Research Center. Upon exiting the canal, we continued along the Pacific side of Panama and Costa Rica. Each day, we explored islands and coastline in search of amazing wildlife and fascinating educational opportunities. Activities included horseback riding, bird watching, swimming/kayaking and hiking. All the while, I would gather with enthusiastic photographers and share in the craft. Here are some photos from the expedition.
